After losing more than ten close friends due to gun violence, Jared motivated himself to learn to program in order to build an application which centralizes the obituaries of those who died due to gun violence. Jared used the experience to create Kylar.io, a technology platform for communities and businesses.

Kylar.io has helped hundreds of students within St. Louis, MO to learn how to build websites and mobile apps while also pursuing its core mission to decrease gun violence by increasing STEM awareness.

Jared Arms is CEO of Kylar.io, which he founded in St. Louis, MO at the age of 23. Kylar.io partners with 60 companies across the nation that help pursue the goal of reducing gun violence and promote STEM skills in the African American community.
